Cyrptic Mitzi September 7

I wonder if others are finding this 30 Day challenge more challenging the second time round? It could be my fault entirely for choosing a difficult challenge. The hype of my organised and successful first week has waned. I'm also not sure of the end date of our present 30 days, so am having trouble focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel. Not to sound too grim, but it's good to have a sense of momentum. Either way, the magic of the first 30 days has worked, as I'm still getting to the gym every day. It's possible I will revert to a physical challenge next time.

I did complete the Monday night Omega crossword apart from a few stray clues. Here was a success...

I also have two chunky work deadlines which have claimed my headspace. So I think I'll do a "Challenge, Lite" this time round and take up the cause more stridently next time.

this round has been more of a challenging challenge. my original goal - to do the push ups and upper body work 3 days a week, and then alternate with lower body/core work - has been modified.

i am just doing the upper body work. my version of "challenge light".

novelty wearing off? perhaps. maybe if i could look at all the things i could do if i just tackled a challenge 10 times a year? perhaps the broader perspective would help...

let's hang in as best we can!

I for one am having a really challenging time with this challenging. I never forget it, but I can't seem to get myself to do it. I think for me the novelty has worn off.

Plus, it seems like last challenge more of us were posting daily, which really helped keep up the momentum because it was so fun to read other people's posts.

We have a week left and I'm nearly ready to call this one a wash. :-( We'll see, but it's not going well.

SOMSmom makes a very crucial point here: not everyone is posting daily/ regularly.
Yes, I'm guilty of this! I do try to get in my 30 minutes a day, but all sorts of other "stuff" impinges. Sometimes, if I've been doing other pretty physical things(like shoving furniture around!) I can't manage more than 15 minutes.
In those cases, I try to make up the time next day. And, of course, I only got the bike for days when I can't get outside. So, yes, sometimes I skip the pedals and do a brisk walk.
Not exactly true to my challenge, but I hope it counts as it's physical.
And the non-posting? I'm just slack!
But hats off to those who are still in the game. Go!guys.

I agree... with fewer people posting there is certainly less momentum. I used to check the blog several times a day and was rewarded with updates from people on their success, which encouraged me to continue.

This is definitely harder.
