Is there Bellydancing move that involves the tail between the legs?

Total failure.
I've dropped the ball on quite a few things these recent days. :-(
But I'm back. So while I'm not pleased that I didn't make the 30 days of this particular exercise, I haven't given up on improving my figure and bringing a new experience to my life which is ultimately the point, right?
I did change bellydancing videos from one that was exercise-focused to one that is more focused on the dance part. It's still difficult and a little unnatural for me, but I did better today than I did yesterday and the day before... so must remember the ol' adage: progress, not perfection.

Belly "Dancing" day 7

The good news... I have done something with my belly dancing video every day - something other than throwing it out the window which crosses my mind the whole time. I've only been able to do about 10 minutes at each section. I hope that counts - I wanted it be 30 minutes a day but frankly, it's just too hard for me. My arms feel like they're going to fall off and I still can't figure out the difference between a hip up and a hip drop.
Ok, so here's the embarrassing part... it's not actually a belly dancing video. Turns out, it's an exercise video using belly dancing moves with two lucious belly dancing babes in the their cute belly dancing outfits. I'm kind of embarrassed that I didn't read the box right, but oh well...
So anyway, I was going to just keep suffering through it, but now I'm mad and have changed my mind! Instead, I went to Amazon and bought an actual Belly Dancing video for beginners and chose overnight delivery!
I'm not giving up on the challenge - I've been doing it every day and I will do them again tomorrow - but if I want to belly dance, I want to do it right! So when the real video comes in Tuesday... this video is going out the proverbial window!
but I still feel stupid.

My First 30 Day Challenge

How exciting! I've always wanted to do this as I was also intrigued with the concept after watching a few episodes of Morgan Spurlock's short lived series several years back. But I've always had a problem committing to anything!
I joined a gym and Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago - it was a spontaneous decision and I was "excited" about it, but secretly... I thought I would fail/quit and I was emotionally preparing myself to once again face the music. And then I'd have to give myself another pep talk just so I wouldn't feel bad about myself. But I took it one day at a time - the first 3 days were tough, but when I got to day 4 I started to really feel proud of myself. I was convinced I'd done this amazing thing - the gym!... 4 days...then 5 days... in a row! who does that? Oh, I know... Me!
Fast forward 3 weeks - I've been totally committed to changing the way I treat my body - I go to the gym 5 days a week, I stick to my food plan and I have already felt dramatic physical and emotional changes. Suddenly I feel that anything is possible and I want more! I'm ready for another challenge!
Daisyfae, my dearest and most supportive bloggy buddy, turned me on to this 30 day challenge and I'm so grateful!
I couldn't decide on the type of challenge - intellectual? creative? physical? spiritual?... I sat with it a couple of days, it was a tough call but since I'm finally learning new things about my body I'm going to expand on that discovery...
My plan is to learn how to Bellydance! It looks fun and sexy and really tones and strengthens the body.
I'm not a graceful girl so this could be laughable! On the other hand - I can only improve!
Thanks again for letting me play along!
